Festivals Malta jirċievi 170 sottomissjoni għat-tieni edizzjoni ta’ Mużika Mużika.
Aktar kmieni din is-sena, l-Festival Kanzunetta Maltija ra r-ritorn tiegħu permezz tal-festival Mużika Mużika. Il-festival intlaqa’ b’mod tajjeb mill-udjenza televiżiva, b’aktar minn 320,000 telespettatur fuq medda ta’ tlett ijiem.
Tul dawn l-aħħar xhur, Festivals Malta beda bil-kampanja tiegħu għat-tieni edizzjoni ta’ Mużika Mużika, hekk kif l-aġenzija bdiet tilqa’ s-sottomissjonijiet minn Lulju. Il-Ġimgħa li għaddiet fil-15 t’Ottubru, l-applikazzjonijiet uffiċjalment għalqu, b’riżultat ta’ 170 sottomissjoni minn artisti lokali.
Ic-Chairman ta’ Mużika Mużika, Mr Raymond Bugeja qal li wara s-suċċess li kellha l-ewwel edizzjoni tal-festival, kien mistenni li l-volum ta’ sottomissjonijiet għat-tieni sena tiegħu jiżdied. “Il-konkorrenza li kellna din is-sena kienet akbar minn dik tas-sena li għaddiet. Dan juri l-importanza ta’ dan il-festival, li reġa ta pjattaforma xierqa lill-mużika Maltija. L-ammont ta’ sottomissjonijiet jagħti prova ċara li dan il-festival qiegħed hemm biex jibqa’,” ikkonkluda s-Sur Bugeja.
It-tim ta’ Festivals Malta issa ser ikun qiegħed jipproċedi għall-fażi li jmiss fej il-kanzunetti sottomessi jiġu evalwati minn ġurija esperta. L-aħjar 35 kanzunetta li jintgħażlu ser jiġu esebiti quddiem ġurija differenti minn dik tal-ewwel fażi. Wara l-live auditions, jintgħażlu l-għoxrin kanzunetta semifinalista li magħhom ser jingħaqad ukoll ir-rebbieħ tal-programm televiżiv Mużika Mużika l-Vjaġġ Ikompli biex jikkompetu waqt il-festival bejn l-24 u s-26 ta’ Marzu 2022.

Applications for Mużika Mużika are Now Closed
Festivals Malta received a total of 170 submissions for the second edition of Mużika Mużika.
Earlier this year, Festival Kanzunetta Malta saw its return through Mużika Mużika, with positive feedback from both local artists and audiences with more than 320,000 televiewers on a span of three days.
Festivals Malta has, for the last few months, been campaigning for the second edition of Mużika Mużika, as the agency opened submissions in July. Last Friday 15th October, Festivals Malta announced that the applications have officially closed, resulting in a total of 170 submissions from local artists.
Mużika Mużika Chairman, Mr Raymond Bugeja, commented that a rise in submissions was to be expected after the success of the first edition of the festival. “The turnout for this year’s edition of the festival has exceeded that of last year’s, strengthening the importance of the festival within the cultural calendar as it provides the platform Maltese music rightly deserves”, concluded Mr Bugeja.
The Festivals Malta team will now be proceeding to the second phase, as the submitted songs will be evaluated by an expert jury. These will be shortlisted to 35 songs, which will go through the process of a live audition in front of a different set of judges. Afterwards, 20 semi-finalist songs will be chosen, which will be joined by the winner of the television programme Mużika Mużika – Il-Vjaġġ Ikompli, as they go on to compete in the second edition of Mużika Mużika between the 24th and 26th of March 2022.
Festivals Malta wishes to thank all those who submitted their application for this festival.
