Qualifications and Experience Required:
Candidates must in possession of a recognized Master’s qualification at MQF Level 7 (subject to a minimum of 60ECTS/ECVET credits, or equivalent, with regard to programmes commencing as from October 2008) in Fine Arts or a comparable professional qualification, plus (1) year relevant work experience.
OR
A recognised Bachelor’s qualification at MQF Level 6 (subject to a minimum of 180 ECTS/ECVET credits, or equivalent, with regard to programmes commencing as from October 2003) in Fine Arts or a comparable professional qualification, plus (4) years relevant work experience.
Job description:
Attend briefing meetings with Marketing Manager, Festival Managers and Artistic Directors.
Influence design-led thinking across all festivals and events, whilst keeping consistency on all design projects.
Lead concept development in relation to design and creative outputs of all web, print, and digital marketing collateral.
Take a lead role in managing the design and creative elements of projects and be the point of contact for Festival Managers, Artistic Directors and printers or any other third parties.
Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organisation and that advance our brand and proposition strategy.
Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
Managing the design team, freelancers and other service providers as required.
Establish creative strategy and manage schedules for key design projects.
Manage design processes from beginning to end to ensure timely delivery of designs.
Provide influencing ideas to enhance department productivity.
Develop and design concepts and execute creative material as required.
Design graphic content, illustrations and animation.
Monitors creative department workloads and follows up on due dates.
Expedites rush jobs in a way that process does not obstruct the orderly flow of everyday work.
Use project requirements as potential training opportunities for staff appropriately.
Assists Marketing Manager in the facilitation of print jobs with suppliers, ensuring that such material is delivered within deadlines and with the quality standards that meet the Agency needs.
Identifies training needs and available avenues for training, informing department head accordingly.
Obtain artwork approvals by presenting final layouts to the team.

Assist in the development of internal marketing campaigns that translate marketing objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies.
Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer need, and the competitive landscape.
Lead brand development initiatives for Festivals Malta and all its festivals and subsidiary initiatives.
Operate IT systems including the e-procurement portal (epps), used for management of calls for tenders and reporting of public procurement
Assisting in the detailed monitoring and enforcement of Public Procurement procedures and ensuring that all procurement documents are in line with the applicable procedural and technical requirements, whilst ensuring confidentiality of sensitive procurement information at all times and ensuring compliance in such proceedings.
Sit on the evaluation committees when necessary.
Attending tender opening sessions when requested and other pertinent assignments in order to ensure that all the stipulated regulations are adhered to.
Ability to work in a team, adapt rapidly and respond to change in a fast-changing environment.
Following any other ad hoc assignments in relation to festivals as may be directed with CEO Festivals Malta
